Vision Statement

To be the leading national partnership uniting private security and emergency services to strengthen public safety through intelligence sharing, effective crisis response, and shared industry standards.

Mission Statement

Our mission is to support and elevate frontline security professionals who protect our communities every day, and to raise the standards they work to. By uniting the private security industry, emergency services, and key partners, we champion shared intelligence, high-quality training, and coordinated responses that strengthen public safety. Through this commitment to collaboration, innovation, and leadership, CSC members demonstrate their dedication to professionalism on the frontline and help build a safer, more resilient United Kingdom—together.

The key aims and objectives of the CSC are:

  • Improve the standards of training for security staff so they can deliver effective, proportionate and coordinated responses in times of crisis and emergency.
  • Provide structured and professional resource support to the Police in times of crisis and emergency (for example, through frameworks such as Operation Griffin or any successor arrangements).
  • Standardise effective and efficient responses across member organisations, ensuring clarity of roles, responsibilities and communication channels.
  • Improve and align collective responses across all media and communication platforms during major incidents, so that information is accurate, timely and consistent.
  • Provide cities, their residents, visitors and workers with joined‑up messaging and a tangible protective multiplier by strengthening collaboration between private security professionals, the Police and other relevant agencies.
  • Promote shared values, principles and best practice across the sector, including commissioning or supporting research, and regularly reviewing current security practices and learning from incidents.
  • Act as a credible, authoritative voice of the security industry in times of crisis and emergency, representing the interests and expertise of members in dialogue with the Police, government, media and the public.
