As part of the City Security Council’s agenda to promote the private security sector and support young people, we have partnered with Onwards and Upwards – Barnet Council’s Leaving Care Service. On Wednesday, 29th May, Helmey El-Aasar BSc, MSyl El-Aasar, a member of the E,D&I Board for the CSC and a member of the CSC London Leadership Team, along with his colleague Simona Diaconu, had a meeting with a cohort of young care leavers. They presented them with information about the security industry, possible career paths and what it takes to be a security operative. Following their presentation, they offered those interested positions within the CSC member companies, funding the required training costs. The entire group expressed an interest in joining our industry, which was a resounding success!
