Recently, we hosted the first The City Security Council and City of London Police Major Incident Awareness session of 2024. The event was well attended, so a big thank you to all that made it. We will be doing more over the year, and they are a vital link in the knowledge chain for us to assist the police and emergency services if the worst should happen. The content covers the following: To understand what a major incident could look like for you, the role and responsibility of a First Responder and where you can assist, Joint Emergency Services Interoperability Principles – what are they?, The importance of knowing who the living are, What are Emergency Centres? Specifically, Survivor Reception Centres. This is supported by the Preparedness, Resilience & Debriefing Unit CoLP, so a huge thanks to the team for getting this developed and delivered to the CSC Operations team.

Many thanks to Ward Security for assisting with the venue and, of course, CMS UK and Cannon Place for hosting and providing refreshments.
