The EDI Boards Objectives and Aspirations

The City Security Council National EDI Board was formed in October 2022 from volunteers across the CSC membership.

The EDI Board is a leading authoritative voice across the security industry, representing the interests of thousands of security officers in promoting equity, diversity, and inclusion.

The EDI Board as four objectives.

To be the security industry voice for EDI, providing an inclusive environment for membership companies to thrive through the diversity of jobs, people and geography
To celebrate the work of membership companies and provide a platform of best practices and inclusive work ethics
To promote the membership companies and be the leading voice on EDI activity
To drive education across membership companies on equity, diversity and inclusion in the security industry and the communities that it provides a service to.

The Board members are often requested to provide thought leadership and speak at public conferences on the importance of;

Treating all people fairly
Creating an inclusive culture across the security industry
Gender balance and inclusion of binary and non-binary through pronouns
Ensuring equal opportunities in learning and development and making it accessible by collaborating with the SIA skills board
Promoting equity, diversity and inclusion
